You may recall last year we did a course swap with RND. This year it was Saunton’s turn. Sixty four of our members and sixty four Saunton members passed each other on the Atlantic Highway early Thursday morning to play each other’s course. We had a wonderful day playing in sunshine on the stunning East Course which was in excellent condition. The last couple of weeks have seen the rough grow to a particularly challenging state, those who kept to the fairway were suitably rewarded. A lovely carvery was enjoyed by all followed by prize giving. Congratulations to the winners (pictured) David Mann, Richard Hambly, Josh Taylor and Nick Williams, who scored 91 points. Readers will be interested to know that with one player change (David Mann replacing James Hutchings this year) they were also the winning team last year at RND with the same number of points. The 2024 runners up of Geoff & Sue Jones and Pete & Sarah Chinnery were also the 2023 runners up! All to play for in 2025 then..

I would personally like to thank the Saunton team for agreeing to this fixture and my thanks also go to all involved at both venues in making the day so memorable.
